It makes styx harder (since miniboss rooms are actually easier than non-miniboss rooms if you don't run middle management), so you could substitute it for something else if you struggle with styx. Middle management is also fine in most cases, there's a few annoying rooms but you won't see them in a lot of runs. EM3 is also not too bad, but I find the other pacts listed easier. But if you're short on time it could be better to skip those too.Įxtreme measures 1 and 2 can be a bit "busy" with a lot going on and you'll often take a few hits, but there's a fountain right after each fight so it's not so bad. Take health if you desperately need it and sometimes coin. Never take a darkness/gem one since they do nothing for your run. Skipping most internal troves should help too. So skipping those a lot less should help me. And I often skip chaos over regular boons. I'll occasionally skip spec encounters if they're lackluster though thats rare. I skip shops as i'd rather a free upgrade. I'm definitely getting quicker and quicker at regular chambers but the boss fights are slowing me down.Įdit: just read some tips on tight deadline that might help me/whoever.Never skip shops/chaos/special encounters since they dont have fights. Maybe i'll just do some tight deadline 2/EM3 for a while to get used to both of those. I lost most of my health to EM3 as it was my first time attempting it, I should get better there after another run or two. Had I had more health I wouldn't have needed to do that, but I still could have won with more time. Tricky in getting a full combo off that is. My last one I ended up wanting to drag out the Hades fight because I was lower on health and wanted to play safe Was playing Arthur, little tricky to play safe and quick with that sword I found. I've in fact bricked multiple runs on tight deadline 1. I'm also attempting 16 heat, only tried once but had similar except i did benefits package didn't do convenience fee but I like that idea. By the time you get to the final boss, he will be entirely unmodified which means that it's actually often easier than what came before. Other people have given other suggestions and a lot of the pact is personal preference, but that's probably the lowest impact I can think of. Underworld Customs is the last 2 points and usually ends up with you selling a boon you didn't really care too much about anyway and you get money out of it to boot, so sometimes this boon is literally 0 impact and is how you should have played anyway. Convenience Fee is basically free- shops are already relatively low priority, since the alternative is almost always something you could buy in a shop (except, you know, free), and healing items from the well are cheap enough that the 80% increase still makes them affordable almost always. That's 12 points, so we're left with Underworld Customs and Convenience Fee. Tight Deadline is literally free, and if you can't beat the game in under 28 minutes on average you probably should work on that before you start to raise heat. EM, Middle Management, and Jury Summons all have 0 impact on one another, so you're spreading the difficulty out pretty far and that's 9 points right there. That's 16 and most of that is pretty low impact. For those reasons focusing on fewer pacts and maxing them is generally going to make your life easier. For the most part a second point in something is either just as much of an increase in difficulty as the first point, has diminishing returns, or gives you more than just one extra heat. I'm not a big fan of spreading out heat like you've done (with a couple of exceptions).
